Over 90% of children in Mexico attend primary school, but only 62% move on to secondary education, and only 45% complete it.
Only a quarter of students advance to higher education after secondary school, revealing a substantial gap in educational progression.
Enter Crediko.
Crediko is a fintech company focused on easing the financial burden of education in Latin America, particularly Mexico.
The platform offers flexible financing solutions for educational costs, allowing families to spread tuition, materials, uniforms, and other related expenses over manageable monthly payments.
The goal is to provide a solution that resembles a subscription model, where families pay a consistent amount throughout the year, helping them avoid the financial strain that often comes with lump-sum educational costs.
Our mission is to bridge the gap in educational access by making quality education more financially attainable for families. - Rodrigo Velasquez (Co-founder Crediko)
How Crediko Works
By offering competitive interest rates, Crediko allows parents to make their first payment only when the school year begins, ensuring that the entire school year is fully covered.
The process is entirely digital, making it easy and convenient for families to access the services they need.
Crediko provides two subscription options to cater to different needs:
- Basic Subscription: Includes registration & tuition fees.
- All-Inclusive Subscription: Covers registration, tuition fees, books, educational materials, and uniforms.
“We created this product called 'all-inclusive,' where we finance all the educational costs in a flexible payment plan over 12 months. It's like a subscription on Netflix, but for education.” - Rodrigo Velasquez (Co-founder Crediko)
