Dacodes Inception Story
Mauricio started Dacodes almost ten years ago with his two co-founders during their last year of engineering studies in Merida, Mx.
At that time, mobile apps were becoming increasingly popular worldwide, especially with the rise of the iPhone and the App Store. He recalls, "In 2014, mobile apps were something big, and everyone wanted to create a mobile app for their business or idea."
This growing interest in mobile apps inspired Mauricio and his partners to launch Dacodes. Initially, their final engineering project—a logistics app for tracking university buses—served as the foundation for their business.
“We decided to start a company by doing what we were already doing for our final project," Mauricio explains. They began by focusing on developing “beautiful and intuitive mobile apps,” a rare offering in Mexico at the time, where many software companies lacked a strong emphasis on UI/UX design.
